StellaRush
A downloadable game for Windows
About the game
Arcade game for our 3rd project that I was the main engineer for and worked alongside 2 artists, 2 designers and another engineer. The game was made with inspiration taken from Asteroids. The engine used was GXPEngine, which is an open source engine made by professors at Saxion UAS of the CMGT course. All rights to the game are protected by Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Any distribution of the game is strictly forbidden and may result in legal consequences.
The point of the game is to get the highest score possible since it's an endless game where the waves size just keeps increasing.
People worked with
- Main artist - Maria Pană
- Second artist - Sidney Barthel
- Designer - Robyn Jennison
- Designer - Kristiyan Kirilov
- Second engineer - Jayden Fokkink
Extra information
The original was made with the intention to be played with a physical controller, so if you have one hanging around with an Arduino board hanging around, that'll work nicely. There are no difference between levels other than the planet you're protecting. The pickups spawn all around the map and when picked up you gain an ammo for some random ability.

Possible future
The game might be revisited at some point to make the high-score system work and work on some small issues like enemy ai targeting and change it to vector math instead of a simple x and y position change.
